Who really is the party of sleaze? Labour, Reform or Maybe Count Binface?

Farage has clearly grabbed the headlines by forcing a by-election.

So up pops StarmerBot saying Farage represents SLEAZE.  If he really thinks that, then why is he not fielding a candidate to oust Farage in Clacton?  Instead he's creating a farcical contest between Farage and Count Binface.

Having said that - Count Binface's manifesto certainly looks more realistic and deliverable than Labour's wish list.  I think the British public can really get behind 99p flakes actually costing 99p !

I can still picture Starmer taking the sanctimonious high ground that Labour were morally better than the conservatives because he didn't eat cake and Boris did. He waved the sleaze furiously at the time. Strangely Sue Grays investigation into Starmer's own little parties was that he did not break any rules. The benefit of hindsight explains her decision....

So let's examine Labour's sleaze scoreboard.

Freebie Starmer doesnt have that reputation for nothing.  Lots of undisclosed freebies from Lord Ali.  Failing to disclose free clothes for his wife. Undisclosed free accomodation. Free suits. Free glasses. He had to repay £6,000 to cover the value of undisclosed "gifts" such as Taylor Swift tickets, free football games etc.  This was all while he was a member of parliament unlike Farage's £5M gift.

Maybe politicians should be more like footballers and have logos on their suits and carefully position their beverage of choice at press conferences. Oh silly me. They don't answer questions so press conferences are out....

So back to sleaze...

Angie "forgot" to pay the correct stamp duty on her £850k house purchase.  How come a former unqualified carer appears to have  a net worth of £4M?

Rachel "forgot" to register her property for selective licencing which is a criminal offence. She was also caught out lying on her CV.

Similarly Jas Athwal forgot to register not just one property like Rachel for selective licencing but 15 properties. The properties were also found to be of a poor standard.  This should have been 15 criminal records but no such thing happened.

Apsana Begum was charged with three charges of  housing fraud in 2021 because she jumped a 10 year council house waiting list by exploiting contacts. She earns £93,904 as an MP but lives in a council house which she secured through her actions.

Tulip Siddiq has been sentenced to fours years in prison in Bangladesh for corruption.

Louise Haigh has a criminal record for fraud by misrepresentation.

Former MP Josh Simmons, who resigned to make way for the King of the North, was found to have paid for a fake smear campaign through Labour Together to trash investigative journalists who exposed massive £750k of undisclosed Labour election donations.  Starmer promised to investigate Josh Simmons and Labour Together through the ethics committee which was ironically headed by Josh Simmons no less....Now King Andy is in place in Makerfield I would guess the ethics investigation into Labour Together has been conveniently forgotten.

The shear scale of undisclosed donations from Labour Together and Francesca Perrin (Sainbury hieress) needs to be questioned.

And I haven't even mentioned Mandy and Starmer's untruths  about Mandy's vetting....

Farage has rightly pointed out that he took no money from the public purse and has claimed zero expenses. Starmer has claimed expenses of £14k for the past financial year.  More interestingly he claimed expenses of £236,485 per year when he was Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).....

So Starmer was comparatively frugal with expenses as Prime Minister unlike Kate Osborne who claimed £344,831 in expenses last year and Chris Elmore who claimed  £343,439.

Certainly Labour have some questions to answer of their sleaze track record but then it's policy not to answer questions at PMQs or at Burnham (or should that be Showman Barnum)  interviews......

So do I care whether Farage was given £5M by an individual before he was an MP? No really.

Do I care Starmer claimed £236,485 per year  of tax payers money in expenses? Yes absolutely - it was taxpayers money....

Finally I have it on good authority that when Count Binface was 14, he bribed his way into a house party with some beer taken from his parents stash.  He's clearly the perfect candidate for public office.
