Kier said it therefore it must be true
I am getting fed up with the sound bite phrases that come out of Starmer's mouth.
"We are working tirelessly"
"A Labour government is about change"
"Have no doubt [insert some random phrase]".
"We’re [on an] upward trajectory"
Starmer is becoming so predictable that I was thinking about writing my own Starmer chat bot.
You could ask questions and the StarmerBot would respond with one of his favourite meaningless responses.
Me > Why did you give £15 BILLION in benefit handouts and not increase defence spending
StarmerBot > Labour has had to make the difficult decisions as a result of the legacy left by the previous government. Have no doubt - that we will rebuild Britain. Have no doubt that the work of change begins today. My solemn promise to you is I will run a government that honours these principles. We are working tirelessly to create a fairer Britain
Me> The budget was unfair. It taxed the poor to give money to the lazy.
StarmerBot> Have no doubt that Labour is the party of the Worker. We are working tirelessly to create a fairer Britain. A more equal Britain. A Britain that I can be proud of. That's what you get with a Labour government. A Labour government is a government of change.
Even Google AI has picked up on his habits. Here's the phrases Google knows already:
Keir Starmer's quotes focus on themes of national renewal, security, opportunity, and public service, emphasizing rebuilding Britain with growth, dignity, and fairness, contrasting with past failures and aiming for a united country with better public services, a stronger economy, and hope for working families. Key messages include his vow to "rebuild Britain," deliver "hope for working people," ensure "security, prosperity, respect," and reform the NHS and economy for long-term growth and equality, as seen in his post-election and policy speeches.
"This will take a while. But have no doubt that the work of change begins - immediately. Have no doubt - that we will rebuild Britain... with wealth created in every community."
"And so my government will fight, every day... Until you believe again." (About restoring hope)
"I want them to imagine themselves there and for that to feel natural. Whatever their race, whatever their background, to think they belong, that success belongs to them." (On opportunity)
"This shouldn't be a country where people fear walking down their street... Or waiting months for hospital appointments they desperately need. Where our waters are filled with sewage."
"The NHS back on its feet, facing the future."
"From now on, almost every GP practice in England will offer online consultations. This is how we're making our NHS fit for the future."
"I am determined to halve violence against women and girls. We are investing in ways to improve how the police respond to these horrific crimes."
"Growth is the answer. Every one of our national missions depend on it. Safe streets. An NHS fit for the future. Tearing down the barriers to opportunity. A clean energy superpower. All of these are good for growth. But all of them require growth, the lifeblood of a dynamic economy and a strong society."
"We have put a lot of work into this and we know: growth is the answer."
"My solemn promise to you will always be to run a government that honours these principles: Selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership."
"If you think it's not government's role to shape markets; that we're only here to serve them... that's not going to work for us. That's not going to work for growth, and won't deliver what our country needs."
So last week in an interview with the Economist Starmer was very vocal.
“[Reform will] tear apart our country with their propositions for not actually respecting the tolerant, diverse country that we are”
“[Conservatives are]Lower than vermin”
The irony doesnt escape me that StarmerBot said on the 5th Jul 2024 "[Labour will] treat every single person in this country with respect".
Ultimately Starmer's messages about CHANGE are polished to have a positive spin. Yet in his interview any CHANGE which he doesnt agree with is evil.
It's getting to the point that if he says something it must be true. If someone disagrees with him then they must be [insert phrase: right wing, nazi, racist..].
I think StarmerBot needs a software upgrade to add some new phrases to his vocabulary.
